Mary's Foresters --Hostess Day, Yummies!



Tomato Soup Cake

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar.
11/2 cup flour
1 egg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in one can tomato soup.
1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 raisins

Put in greased 9x13 tin and bake for 35 min. at 375 degrees
.
Topping

1 pkg. cream cheese
11/2 cup icing sugar.
1 tblsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Raspberry Squares

Base
1 cup flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup butter
1 egg beaten with 1 tblsp. milk

Sift dry ingredients together, then cut in butter. Stir in egg and enough milk to make a crumbly mixture.
Spread in a 8x8 inch pan. Spread with raspberry jam.

Topping
1cup sugar
1 egg. beaten
2 cups coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tblsp. melted butter

Cover with combined topping ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes.

Beef Soup with a Twist!

1LB GR BEEF
1 ONION DICED
BROWN AND DRAIN WELL

2 CANS BEANS (I USE BLACK AND KIDNEY)
DRAINED AND RINSED
4 C BEEF BROTH
2 T PUEBLO BEAN DIP MIX(VICTORIAN EPICURE THAT JACKY H - KING SELLS)
1 T TACO SEASONING
SEASON THIS TO TASTE WITH MORE IF DESIRED
1 28OZ CAN DICED TOMATOS
BRING TO BOIL- SIMMER MED LOW HEAT 20 MIN.
ADD 1 CAN WHOLE CORN IN THE LAST 10 MIN.
SEASON WITH SALT AND PEPPER
SERVE WITH:
SOUR CREAM
CORN CHIPS(OLD DUTCH)
GRATED CHEDDAR CHEESE
AVOCADO SLICES(DIPPED IN LIME JUICE)
