Mary R. Buscuit Recipie!

Buscuits - (Cinnamon, Shortcake, Chees&Herb)

Mary R shared these with us at the Oct. 27th. "Quilters Day Out"
Thanks for sharing the recipie also Mary!

2 cups of Flour (I use whole wheat)
1 to 3 TBLSP of sugar
1 Tsp. of baking powder
1/2 Tsp. of baking soda
pinch of salt
1/4 to 1/2 cup of butter
1 cup of plain yogurt
1-11/2 cup of Old or Extra Old Cheddar Cheese (if making the Cheese Buscuits and what ever herbs you like)

In large bowl mix together all ingredients "EXCEPT" the yogurt!
Cut in the butter.
Gently fold in the yogurt
Roll out the dough on a floured surface, adding just enough flour to prevent the dough from sticking to the rolling pin.
Note: for Cinnamon buns roll the dough to about 1/2" to 1" thick in the shape of a rectangel.
Melt some butter and pour over the rectangel of dough. Sprinke brown sugar and cinnamon to your own desires on the rectangle.
Starting rolling the dough from the long edge and pinch the seam together.
Slice into cinnamon bun size.
Bake at 350 - 400 degrees F.(depending on your oven) for 15-20 min.
Remove from oven, plate them and Mmmmm enjoy!
